    What a wonderful facility! We placed my Mother-In-Law at Lakewood late last September and she has transitioned so well thanks to the entire staff. There are activities going on all the time. The dining facilities and food are tremendous; but most of all the true kindness and caring we have witnessed. My wife and I would recommend Lakewood to anyone who needs to help with an Alzheimer’s or dementia relative

    Lakewood recently accepted my mother and the experience has been nothing but exceptional. Instantly feeling like part of a caring and supportive family is how I would describe our experience so far. People like Dana Leair make the stereotypical nursing home feel go away and the feeling of family and belonging come through a rough time in anyone's life. Coming from a person who worked at a nursing home earlier in my career, this is by far one of the better facilities in the area to place loved ones and it mostly has to do with the staff. Even the vibe I get from other family who's loved ones are there; they come to me and express their experience with the place and you can definitely tell they are happy their family is there. Lakewood has activities going on throughout the day, so you know your loved ones will stay busy and entertained. Did I mention they have some pretty amazing therapy animals who frequent the facility. Their presence brings a positive affect to all.
